In the early group stages it appeared that the front runners were the defending champions Abbotswood, with stiff competition coming from Blackfield and Ashley A. This proved to be the case after the first group stages with Abbotswood A & B finishing top of both groups, with Blackfield and Ashley A close behind.
The top 3 teams went through to the finals league, which Ashley A closely missed out on by only goal difference. The great play continued in the championship league which was a hard fought affair, in the crunch game for the trophy Blackfield went down to Abbotswood A.
This meant that the defending champions Abbotswood did it again and complete an astonishing run of 3 years! All teams should be proud of their achievements on the night and look forward to avenging defeat in next year’s competition!
